Jenny Wiener, Hyo Myoung Kim, Richard Moon, Dan Rees, Barry Reigate, Caroline Rothwell
Lexicon brings together new work from six artists who graduated from Camberwell College of Arts between 1993 and 2006. The title of show is taken from a term that Caroline Rothwell, one of the six artists, uses to categorize her work. In this show Lexicon describes the range of processes and working methods the artists make use of in order to articulate a range of ideas: the vocabulary of producing art and the way ideas manifest themselves through the working process.
Recurring themes and crossovers emerge. Ideas of corruption, subversion and interrogation surface in the diverse range of work. Having all studied at Camberwell the six artists have gone on to develop their practices in a variety of media including painting, photography, drawing, sculpture and installation. Their work embodies a sense of rigorous enquiry – an analysis of the
world and the possibilities for making work.

London Art Fair 2009, Art Projects
14-18 January 09
Business Design Centre, 52 Upper St, London N1
www.londonartfair.co.uk
BEARSPACE are exhibiting gallery artists Toshie Takeuchi, Paul Caton, Lisa Slominski, Isabel Rock, Sally Spinks, Jenny Wiener and Joerg Obergfell. This will be a great chance to invest in new work by key emerging artists recently graduated from Goldsmiths College, St Martins College of Art, the Royal College and the Helsinki Art School, Finland. Each artist chosen has a time-specific surreal element within their work, creating a neo-wonderland where visitors encounter the work in a unique and interactive way. During the London Art Fair artist and alter ego Mike Chavez -Dawson will be performing in collaboration with BEARSPACE, bringing this unique approach to the myth of the artist’s vision against the potential perception of the audience's reading.
